Massachusetts State Trooper Involved In Crash With Tractor-Trailer

A Massachusetts State Police cruiser has been involved in a crash with a tractor-trailer.

The crash took place around 10 p.m., Friday, Aug. 6 when the cruiser was involved in the crash with a Freightliner tractor-trailer on the Massachusetts Turnpike westbound in Worcester County, in Southborough, said Dave Procopio of the MSP.

The male trooper who was driving the 2015 Ford Interceptor Utility was transported to UMass Medical Center in Worcester for evaluation of possible injuries.

Both vehicles were towed.

The scene was cleared at 10:55 a.m.

The crash is under investigation by MSP Troop C.
